Can i put the camera strap that came with my XSI in the wash?

If not, how should i clean the beer and sweat out of it?

i'd soak it in cold water and let it drip dry.

Use a little WOOLITE or simply some laundry detergent on it too. Then drip dry it. They do get nasty after a while......

I would disconnect it from the camera first. ;)

Okay, soak the whole cloth part in a diluted washing soap. I'd move it around for a few minutes and then hang outside in the shade (so the strap won't fade) and let's see what happens next. I have the OXI stuff that takes away odors, and that's something you may need to do. Beer, huh?

LOL. Definitely need to put that disclaimer in there!

This sound like the perfect opportunity to upgrade to a POTN strap!

My wife's cat puked on mine and I just threw it in the washer and hung dry. No problem.

The POTN strap is available here. (http://www.procameragear.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=30) This is what it looks like in green...other colors are available.
