blue tint question

I have a 40d and took some pics of kids at the beach yesterday. I do have a polarizing filter on. I noticed yesterday when going over some of my shots there was a blue tint in some of them. With a little PP (mostly temp and saturqtion adjust) they were fine but what is the desal with the blue tint?? Set for sunny day. Help going back to beach tomorrow........

The polarizer can make an image warmer or cooler depending on how it is rotated.

Does this still happen with a circular polarized filter?
