Couple of new flies for me today. Not sure on the ID of the first one, but i wouldn't want the back end pointed at me. Looks like it could target you pretty quickly.

I really like the first two. Are they taken with the 100 2.8 and tubes ? The magnification and detail looks great.Did you stack the images ? Thanks from a newbie. Johnathan

Johnathan--those shots were taken with Canon 100mm and 1.4 TC (I switch between the tubes and the TC a lot), and a diffused flash. ISO 200, SS 1/200th, F/8. I've been trying out a new diffusion method today. Seems to be working fairly well, and lets me leave the flash in the hotshoe on the camera. No awkward brackets and cords. These are not stacked. I generally don't do a lot of stacking, and usually use a tripod if I do.

Wonderful shots- esp like the first two shots. #2 reminds me of the early jet fighters :)
