I do love looking at and working with monochrome but I've got so much to learn. I'm preparing a shot for a themed competion at the place where I work. We only get about 20 entries every month but we all love our competition and the standard is getting higher all the time.
Anyway, the theme for this months comp is "picture the musc", i.e. the shot must represent the title of a song. I went for one of my favourites... Parisienne walkways by Gary Moore from 1979. This is my effort. I converted using the channel mixer method and did a bit of burning to even up the sky a bit and bring out a bit of detail in the buildings and the tower:-

The sky was completely cloud free and the sun was high and to the left of shot. I used a ND grad but the sky was very uneven in colour. Like I said, I'm a bit of a novice and I'm sure that others could have done the conversion a lot better. I'd love to see someone with a bit of skill have a go and do the conversion properly.

Please have a go at this. I promise not to pass off your conversions as my own in the comp but I will want to know what you did so that I could do it for myself.
