The weather wasn't the best, so I thought I'd have a bit play in the house, I set up the shot you see and with a combination of a flash extension cord with 580ex, a lambency flash diffuser and two 110cm reflectors. I set up a new layer in PS desaturated and then painted the colour back in.
This was something totally new for me, my first attempt at this kind of shot, so comment and critique are most very welcome.
Anyway hope you like the shot.

You have IMHO managed very well, Dave. One minor thing which you might try to play with, are the sharp shadows on the vases.

I only had the one flash and while I managed to get one reflector set up to provide some light bounce to get the other setup up meant me standing on one leg balancing the reflector with my toes while hold the flash in my right hand and the shutter extension release in my left, it was more like a circus act than someone trying to take photographs

Fortunately, my other half was otherwised occupied watching her soaps :) Though I dare say had she heard a loud thud followed by lots of swearing she'd have come to see whatI had fallen over.

very nice color selection, im usually picky on selective coloring but it was done really well here
