Way back when, before I lost my gear in a divorce, (long story) I had lens cases and then put the cases in a bag. I have not seen any of those old style cases lately and what I do read around here it seems common to just put the lenses in the bag. I do like to take care of my stuff but I like to travel light also. Any suggestions? What do you people do?

Have you tried a lens wrap? I just use a bag but I have used wraps for a bunch of lenses in a big section of one bag I have.

Bag with dividers - actually Domke (http://www.tiffen.com/products.html?tablename=domke) bags with their inserts which separate the lenses without keeping them too tightly imprisoned for a quick lens change.

I bought a Canon bag that has A LOT of adjustable dividers.

Should I just look under lens wrap?

The only cases I use are the ones that came with the 100-400 and the 70-200, and even then they only really live in the cases at home. To be honest, I think that the soft bags are pretty useless. Most of my lenses don't fit in the bags with the hoods on (either direction). I wouldn't even think about taking the lenses out into to the field in their bags.
