AVITAR size problem

Hi I have been trying to produce a phot small enough for my avitar for this forum.
By editing a photo in PS I just cannot get it down to the miuimum file size of 8kb.
I have even reduced its resolution to 30 pixels/inch, saved it as jpeg with a low quality rating of zero . Pixels are down to 34 x 22 and it still saves as a file size of 22kb.

Use "Save for Web..." command. Normal JPEG saving in Photoshop preserves EXIF and IPTC metadata which means your image will be about XXKB whatever you do.
