No matter what I do, linking fron Picasa just doesn't work for me. I know I'm using the right links. Is a Picasa link not allowed on POTN?

Post an example of one that didn't work and we can have a look at it for you - or link us to a post you have made that didn't work, maybe.

Is it from a picasa web album? I seem to recall there were some issues when I tried it too.

I'm sure there was a tutorial someplace for picasaweb images but I can't find it. Here's the 2nd best option though:

I use Imageshack (http://imageshack.us/) which works perfectly well.
