Hi everyone :)

This is one of the first pictures of a few i have taken with my new 400d (first dslr). It is my niece who at
the time was playing with my son out in the garden, this was taken as she was about to go down a slide.

wonderful shot! I like the use of negative space. i think it would be even better without the selective color, just all b/w. and lighten the eyes a bit. --alex.

I too like the use of the space and agree with getting rid of the colour.

She has amazing eyes. I agree with the other posters, remove the selective coloring. Nice shot.

Thanks for the comments guys, i had originally lightened her eyes but was afraid of over doing it in case they started to look fake (im not that great with ps)

and also removed the colour, looking at it now i think it greatly benefits it with it gone...

Welcome to the forum, This is a wonderful place for support and info.. I like the 2nd photo best.. however did you lighten her eyes more in that shot? I like her eyes in the 1st shot but I like everything else in the 2nd one. Nice work over all and thanks for sharing.. :)

Yes, i lightened them further (tho torn between which i prefer) they are very dark in the original.
