Just upgraded my D60 to a 20D. Ordered it from BuyDig ($1309) on New Year's Day (what a way to start out the New Year). Paid for 2-day delivery and it arrived today with 1.1 Firmware already installed. Can't wait to get it outside and start shooting.

Cangrats. Dave, that is an excellent way to start the year and get rid of the Jan. winter blues.

And that is a very good price on it.

Dave,

Do you live in the DC area? I am trying to get a 20D club started in the Northern Virginia and DC area. I ran into a bunch of Nikonians in the National Botanical Garden and got the idea from them. Let me know what you think about it. I love your photos. I am an amateur looking to get fired up.

Virginian,

Yes, I live in Loudoun County, just west of Dulles. I would be very interested in a Club, but I will be leaving the area in mid-April to start my new job in Nevada.

If you get something together before then, I'm in. My wife also shoots (beginning) too.

Congratulations on your 20d. My wife gave me one for xmas along with the ikelite underwater housing in preparation for a dive trip to the Maldives in April. Unfortunately due to family circumstances we won't be able to go on the dive trip. I will be keeping the equipment (it was a gift after all), but we are selling our spots on the charter (discounted). Any divers out there interested in a 10 day live aboard?

Sorry to pitch the trip, I am quite bummed at not being able to go. It was a charter and we are well past the cancelation deadline.

First, congrats on your new camera! I do have a question. When you ordered, did you order in the web? If you called, did they try to push other stuff on you? The price seems too good. I already have the lenses I need and don't want the hassle. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

SWBlackWood,

I made the purchase completely online. No one called. Within one business day I received email confirmation that the camera had shipped and within two days of that it was deliviered to my door. This is not the first time I have dealt with BuyDig. All times I have dealt with them have been good with zero problems. Based on my experiences, highly recommended.

I ordered my 20D from buydig.com last night via the web, but I have yet to receive an email confirmation with the tracking number. I called this morning to make sure everything went through fine and was told the order was at the shipping department. I sure hope it arrives tomorrow since I paid for overnight mail (over $50!).
