Hi all -

This is a picture of my future niece (my fiance's sister's daughter). Anyway, this was one of my favorites from the holidays. It was taken with my 300D w/ Tamron 28-75 f2.8 and 420ex flash.

63mm, Tv Mode, 1/125s, f/2.8, ISO100, 420ex flash, edited and cropped in Photoshop Elements 3.0 (Can you tell that I smoothed her skin and whitened her eyes and teeth?) I hope you like it.

A very nice shot - good crop, lighting and pose.
On a constructive note I would suggest a less harsh brush for smoothing the skin - as this has made her forehead look a little bumpy. There's also something very strange about her eyes. They appear to be lacking in pupils! Possibly a bit of close up work needed with a darkening brush. The black doesn't seem to be a very deep black.

I did notice that her forehead came out a little bumpy after you mentioned it . . . maybe I need to be more precise with the brush and cloning stamp.

As far as her eyes, maybe the B&W conversion is the cause for her losing her pupils. I'll see what i can do to improve it.

Thanks for the advice!

Cheers!
