My sister is going to school there. Too bad she missed that, because she's here at home (Alabama) right now.

Nice images. On par with some I saw posted on Getty Images.. But, I think stopping down to a smaller f-stop would have allowed a little longer shutter speed to get more bursts in the air..
Nice work.

Thanks,
Yes now i see how if i had chosen f8 aperture size, that my shutter speed would have been more like 6-10 seconds and i might have been able to get more fireworks simultaneously showing.
Ive been using the G6 for about 4 months now and am finding it to perform very well both from a feature set and quality perspective.

G'day Nabil!
First one is definetly very good. I tried to shoot Sydney NY fireworks last year from Cremorne point and had not had nearly as much success with my G2 as you have. I learned a couple of this though from it. I shot mostly at 4 sec shutter speed but lack of cable release and slow RAW write speed on G2 really conspired against me. The 2 sec delay with G2 remote control really made it difficult as basicly I ended up just continuesly jabbing remote button and missing a lot of bursts. Add to it that with longer shutter speed there are more chance of overexposure when multiple burst deploy at same height. Plus I've got to my vantage point slighly late as they closed the harbour which mean poor location. I would have had better results trying to shoot JPGs instead. But hey there are always more fireworks in the harbour city :) So maybe next year. One thing to considered woul be trying to overlay multiple images with different burst in phtooshop in form of collage. I seem to remember a photo posted here a year or so back where 3 pictures were used with careful masking to simulate multiple bursts when it could not be achieved in real life.
