cropping or re-size???

Once I get my image into PS, is it best to crop the image to the size and resolution I want or resize the image. I'm finding it easier to crop. Any thoughts?

Hi Tom,

I crop the image first, before I do anything else. Doing this first makes the image a more managable size, which helps to speed up any of the other things that I may do to the image before saving and or printing.

Do both at the same time!

When you pick the crop tool there is a status bar underneath the commands. Fill in the size and resolution you want and let photoshop do the rest.

Typically I adjust levels first, crop/resize, and finish with some unsharp masking. Then its off to the printer.
