I'm pretty sure the first one is a moth of some sort, but I have no idea about the second one.

First one is a butterfly. I tell the difference by the clubbed antennae and butterflies usually fold wings up like that, moths flat down by side. Not sure about more precise ID, sorry.
Pretty sure the second is some sort of clearwing moth. See the different antennae ends and wings down?

I took a similair one, it is a hummingbird moth.

Cool. I was thinking it was a wasp mimic moth.

Thanks to all for the comments. I forgot all about the bug guide, I had the link somewhere and lost it. Thanks for the ID and tips on telling the difference.

Nice shots. #2 looks like a hummingbird moth of some type.
