2x 580EX, hard lit diagonally. I don't think she can pull off that sultry look, she has too much attitude for that.

Here are two more.

That 1st one is better it suits her personality more so, although a little more light on her face would be nice...

I like the second photo wardie, The lower part of the frame is distracting though where the OOF flowers are.

I'd agree with that. Maybe crop the foreground out.

I did crop it to see the effect but this one appealed to me better. It also gave me a place for my logo.

I like it too, but disagree about the foreground being distracting.

+1

Like the first one, too

Wardie, love both as they are.

how about this one?
no knees to worry about lol..
she doesnt have the best body in the world..
shes got a nice smile though :p

I like this better davo, but as others have said the tree is a bit of a spoiler.

There is nothing wrong with her body, while not a catwalk model there is definitely nothing wrong with it and I don't say this in a GWC kinda way.

The pose in the works much better, it suits her style.

And incase anyone is wondering (Which I know you all are) The BBQ was the goods. I didn't take my camera though as there was drinking to be done...lol

There's that 10fps coming into play, or did you just time it really well ?

Jim G

There's that 10fps coming into play, or did you just time it really well ?

10fps for sure. Had three goes at timing it and shot the first shot of each burst as if I were trying to catch the flame and just held down the shutter for a few shots afterwards in case I missed it.

As it turns out I missed it each time by about one frame. I can shoot fire breathers and time it easily as the flame lasts for ages compared to cannon flame - the cannon flame was only present for a fraction of one frame... the other two attempts were either slightly too early or too late to get as much flame as the one seen here.

Aparrently they are restoring the 80lb carriage mounted cannons at Wollongong harbour to firing condition (well dry-firing condition anyway). Should be good for some pics once they put them in action :D

Good Morning Feng,

Thank you for emailing us concerning the problem with your EOS 5D.

I have discussed further with my supervisor concerning the assessment of your EOS 5D and had a second opinion carried out.

We have on this occasion elected to repair at no charge.

It's definitely reinstated my faith in Canon's customer service, and also that speaking your mind pays off. :)

The camera's meter does a surprisingly good job; I generally shot on M for yesterday's attempts though the one posted above was Av, however I'd just locked the same exposure I was putting through in M anyway.

Thanks for the update Turou/Service Team.

A shame that there wasn't an announcement. I cannot believe a camera of this calibre with only ~18k actuations can have something like this happen to it. So many people have discussed this problem to a point where I'm surprised that there wasn't a 'bad batch' or similar.

FYI, check out:

http://www.google.com.au/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENAU258&=&q=Canon+5D+mirror+fell+off&btnG=Google+Search&meta=

Thank you.

The rules of shotgun specificaly state: "...you may not call Shotgun until the automobile is within your sight." meaning in this case the end of the thread must be visible in the standard viewing mode of 15 posts per page.

EDIT: In more specific detail:

Article 2: Shotgun may only be called if all occupants of the vehicle are outside and directly on the way to the said vehicle. (IE: Line of sight)

Article 3: Early calls are strictly prohibited. Shotgun may only be called while walking toward the vehicle and only applies to the drive immediately forthcoming.

Article 4: The driver (Michael in this case) has final say in all ties and disputes. The driver has the right to suspend or remove all shotgun privileges from one or more persons.

I wish I could get Firefox to correct other's spelling.

Firefox wont correct my spelling either, it simply points out my mistakes.

EDIT: On the topic of spell check, -1000 to the iPhone for its crap spell check, i dont spell things out in full in SMSes and "wen" means "when" i dont mean to to write "war"

Because "c u 10" is shorter then writing "see you at 10am" and it does not mean "cut 10" like the iPhone thinks

I believe POTN was recently updated to a new version of v-bulletin but was that "Display Mode" selector always up there in the right-hand corner? If so, does everyone use Linear mode?

Yeah Display mode has been there for a while but I just leave it on Linear.

Where has Kinnon been lately anyway?? Anyone know?

Melbourne I believe.

Because "c u 10" is shorter then writing "see you at 10am" and it does not mean "cut 10" like the iPhone thinks

This is what is wrong with the youth of today. They have to shorten everything as they are so pushed for time in their "fast paced" world of sitting on the couch in front of the TV and surfing the web. I don't know how they have time to eat... Oh that's right, fast food. Silly old me
