Just some horsing around on the water over the weekend. Lots of fun shots - colours look pretty good IMO. C& C always welcome.

Yes I was in the boat, some standing, some in the spotter's seat.... except for the last two of course.

My last and most likely final attempt at water skiing two years ago exactly (and my first attempt then in about 20 years) resulted in a torn hamstring, more pain then I ever care to feel again, and a trip to the local hospital in Port Alberni here on the Island. All the day before I had to start coaching my summer baseball all-star team in a tourney.
I will stick to tubing from now on, or like you, taking pictures of tubers!
Cheers!

Thanks HF - I really like the dogs on the dock. They both want so badly to be in the boat everytime we pull out.

Hey Chris, thanks - I'm still at it as you can see by the pics. No doubt though that as with most things the older I get, the better I used to be. ;)
The form is not what it was, and the inside elbow comes nowhere close to the water like it used to, but I still have a larf.
Man-o-man was I sore Monday though!! Good news is there's more to come this weekend.

Great shots, 1 and 2 convey, FUN and summer. Glad your daughter got some pictures of you. All I get when I give my camera to my kids is beheaded or pictures of the cat's butt :(

According to the EXIF, the first is shutter priority w/ spot metering ;) The kids changed it up and used aperture priority.

Darcy, I think one of the more impressive things on these is the sharpness. Shooting from a boat is not easy even in calm water and you managed some very crisp shots here. Well done!!

Scott - thanks - I was standing for most of them, braced between the dash and the back of the spotter's seat. That stance, a fast s/s and the 70-200 doing what it does best. Cheers !

Fatcat - I replied to your email. Also - for exif data, provided it's left intact, you can view it with a right click....provided you have Firefox as you browser and the appropriate add-on software. It's all free at the mozilla site. If you're going to hang around here for a while, you'll find it comes in quite handy.
