Holy crap...a great pic of a drummer! Congrats on that (I am still waiting my turn). Where were you when you shot this?

I was in the sound booth tent, which was up on the stage. Had a staff pass for the entire weekend of the festival, so I had free reign to go just about where ever I wanted.

I actually managed to sneak up behind the drummer, behind the stack of speakers he was in front of, and get some shots looking out over top of him. He had some crazy tattoo work on his back. I wasn't happy with the shots though.. kinda just shot with my arm way up high, no composition at all.

Well if this is what you do with arms a' flaling...I'd love to see what you could do should you have a tripod. :)

This is the one I was talking about, shooting freehand.

The one I posted originally was shot from the sound booth to the side of the stage (but still on the stage)
