The first, I like the image, but feel that you could possibly lighten the foreground a little and try and bring out some of the colour - I like the way the clump of reed and the tree compliment each other but if you can bring out some of the colour in the reed then it will possibly help.
The second, I like a lot (sure I've seen this posted before?) I would run a Velvia type action (increase saturation) on it to bring out the colour of the autum leavesand possibly darken it slightly to bring out the shadows as It's a little over-exposed. Also I would consider cropping it up to the edge of the first two trees on the left.
Hope this helps and I'd be interested to see the results if you try any of these suggestions

quite lovely both of them.
my only suggestion is on #2, the point of focus is on the foreground, leaving (heh) a blurry background. i think focusing so that infinity was just at the tail end of the depth of field would be more effective here -- so maybe some of the foreground leaves would be out of focus, but the image would remain sharp to the end of the path.
maybe you intentionally focused nearby? if so, i'd like to hear your interpretation...

I agree with the earlier comments, but I really like both those photos - well done :)

You are right, I focussed nearby instead of at the end of the path. Thanks for your remarks
