I just bought a 430EX flash. I want to buy the proper shoe cord for it. Which one do I need? shoe cord2? shoe cord 3?
I want to cord that will give me all the options that is possible with my Canon XTi.
As always thanks for your help in advance.

Off shoe cord 2 is what I use, if there's a 3 version get that, it's probably better in some way.

The Off Camera Shoe Cord 2 (OCC-2) is discontinued, and is replaced by the version 3 model called the OC-E3 (such an easy name to remember).

I found an original Off Camera Shoe Cord (number 1?) on ebay for $30, and it works fine as well.
Also take a look at this Chinese version of the OC-E3...

As a number of purchasers, including me, have stated on Amazon, the design of the new series cord (3) is really bad. Mine broke in half the first time I tried to use it. I'm now trying to figure out what to do next. Buy another one? Fight with Canon? Throw a lot of epoxy at the problem and hope for the best?
