I am wondering what I can use to attract the Bluejays away from my neighbors yard. Is there something that you have found effective?

Shotgun....."Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit ‘em, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird."

I do believe that you are asking how to attract Blue Jays, as the title suggests, correct?

If so, put up a feeder and use p-nuts. They will soon be eating out of your hand. I have never had the need to shoot them...

I have never found them to be a nuisance. I feed all kinds of birds.

Good Luck.

I may want to keep the shotgun in the house then because that grey song bird would be the first to go. They are aggressive little bassards. Thanks for the links.

Yes I would like to lure them towards my lens. I tried jumping the fence but my neighbor has pitbulls. I will have to try the peanuts. thanks

The peanuts will garnish some interesting fights between the squirrels and the Bluejays and could lead to some interesting photos.

The Shotgun suggestion was a joke....the quote was from "To Kill a Mockingbird" classic read and great movie. I'm surprised no one got it.

Plant some green beans... I did a few years ago and the little buggers dug up all the seeds and ate them. I never got a single plant!

They like sunflower seeds too. It is funny to watch them sit and bang the seed against my wooden fence to crack it.

20 miles west of Athens and I'm more specialized towards sports events. I don't really have the patience to wait for nature shots to "come to me" but if I see a good shot I'll take it!

I really like the shot of the dock. The reflections are great.

The best "bait" for a Blue jay or a mockingbird is a cat.
