Please bear in mind that I was 300 feet away when I took these photos. When a buddy is waving a free concert ticket in your face with an opportunity to shoot photos of a couple of music legends, you gotta' take the seating that is given.....
Shot at the Horseshoe Casino, Elizabeth Indiana. June 27th, 2008 The show was cut short because there was a storm moving in. Got doused before I made it back to the car. It was the one time I was glad my gear was packed into a Lowepro Dryzone. Edit: It was shot at an outdoor venue. Even when sitting in the furthest set of bleachers in the rear of the joint, I was getting weird stares because of the 70-200 f/2.8 space Hubbel mounted on my camera. It seemed to irk a few people including security, even though earlier they allowed me through the gate after checking my backpack.
Technical stuff: Distance from the stage was about 300 feet. Equipment used: Canon EOS 30D, EF 24-70mm F/2.8L, F70-200mmF/2.8L w/Kenko 1.5X teleconverter, Amvona monopod w/ Giotto ball head & Stroboframe QRC system. 580EX II for the few flash shots. Sandisk Extreme IV 4 gig CF card.
