Can anyone tell me how to get the colors on this back to normal? It's for a friend of mine, and I don't know enough photoshop to help him yet.

I doubt you'll be able to do much with that picture, Tim. How did it become like that in the first place, do you know?
Take a look at the color channels and see if there are useful informatiion in all of the color channels. If so, you may be able to salvage it. If not, it might be next to impossiible.
How about posting the image up for anyone who might be interested in taking it a crack.

It depends upon several things.
Did you change the one of the channel colors?
Do you still have this in psd format?
A bit of advice that someone once told me. When playing with an image, duplicate it and then play with duplication. Then keep the image with the layers in the psd format, and you will still have the original.
Did you change the setting from Normal to Exclusion, Hue, or one of the others? Perhaps you put an overlay layer on top of the image. See if the setting is normal. If not, then set it there and see whether that helps.
If you can remember what you did it might help you.

I don't even have the image, that's a screenshot. The problem isn't with the picture, it's with the photoshop settings, I think. Does anyone know a way to reset the colors so it doesn't display shades of pink?

How about posting the image up for anyone who might be interested in taking it a crack. Do it! Otherwise it's like saying "I took a pic & it didn't come out right how can i fix it" without exif data to work with. ;)

Tim,
I'm unclear.
Does the image look OK before you bring it into Photoshop?
It is labeled as a GIF image. Is the original image file (the one you imported into Photoshop) in GIF format?

Does the image also look like that outside of Photoshop, when you view it with another image viewing program, or does it only look like that in Photoshop?
There is a rigorous way to reset all settings in Photoshop to the defaults: hold down the Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys while you start Photoshop. Be careful with this though, it resets every custom setting you've made in Photoshop.
