This image was a real pain. The original shot was the car and figure on a piece of white foam-core. The rest is all a product of photoshop ...

C&C is always welcomed.

Nicely done! 1 & 2 look eerily realistic! (as in full sized cars)
I raced RC for 10+ years before channeling my money to photography and wish I could reinvest in it to get shots like these. I guess I need to go by the track someday and shoot some of the "old timers" new cars and paint jobs!
Bravo! I miss my old dirt ovals....nice dirt rooster tails would be great to shoot! Alas, all clay, concrete and asphalt now.

Thread was moved to transportation? How is that possible? Am I transporting mice!? Hahahahahaha!

It was placed in Motorsports: Competitive motorsport photos because I compete with this car. In fact, I won my main last night. Does the motorsport area have a scale size limit?

Help me out here people. ;)

^^Hysterical :)

Love these.. I really commend you on the Photoshop work in the last, but I have a tiny nit... you missed the shadow on the stick after you did so well with the player .. but few will notice.

Very nice

The shadow is actually there but the light is coming from straight down so it is really tiny. :)

Thanks for the praise!

LOL@Mice
I had a friend who took an old Evil Knievel doll and glued him in the drivers side once, that lasted until he hit the wall and fell out.
I agree that RC Racing is competitive and a motorsport. I have seen more money sunk into in 10 years than I could ever do so I gave up on it. Budget racers like me got pushed out by corporate teams and sponsorships. No one likes to lose all the time to big budget teams...such a shame, it was so much fun.

Generally if a R/C is posted it is posted in Transportation - wheater it is a race car, plane, boat, etc. If your shots had been of them running on the track then they would have stayed in motorsports. Look at it this way: A BMW in your driveway - Transportation. The same BMW running a track day at Road America - Motorsports.
I hope that explanation helped.

I hope that explanation helped.Well, kind of. Not to be overly obtuse on the matter but: I see a lot of stationary images in the Motorsports section but those are of real cars, bikes, etc. My only thought is: this is not a real, full sized car and thus can never be used as transportation. It has a motor (not an engine ie: motor-sports), I compete with it and some images are on a track - all of which fall within the realm of the Motosports arena.

Maybe they need to be moved again to Still Life - I guess that is a better place since these sort of shots do not seem to fall in to Motorsports and most certainly not in to Transportation ;)

I only put them in to MS because, if I were looking for images like the ones I posted, I would look there - it just make the most sense to me.

Motorsports - Competitive motorsport photos. That is what this car was bought for :D - competition.

Besides, I would not spend over $2800.00 (on the car, parts, tools, chargers, batts, bodies, etc ...) on a RC of this caliber to run it down the street and chase the neighbors dog. Hehehe!

At this point, this RC is worth more then my '91 Nissan 300ZX.
