I think it's just fine as it is. Simple, to the point, not garish or intrusive. Leave it be.

Now that I think of it, the current banner suits this theme well.

I mean, sure it's simple and what not but imagine what a more colourfull and bulkier banner would look like? It wouldn't fit in at all.

Then again, one could change the theme.. ok ok, let's not take it that far ;)
