First of all, I'm sure that everybody has been watching the news, and everybody is aware of the tragic loss of life in the area affected by the tsunami. Now, all that aside, I came upon this web site with excellent reconnaisance satellite photos of before and after. I was impressed. There are 14 sets of photos.

Terrible scenes of devastation. Lets hope the aid gets through quickly and to the people who need it the most.

With or without an early warning system these before and after photos would still look the same but so many lives could have been saved. What a tragedy.

I click on the link and get a blank page. Any ideas?

If that link doesn't work, I can only guess that the server is overloaded. Maybe try during some quiet hour.

I'm on a dialup connection, so I had to wait minutes and minutes for all 14 sets of photos to come in.

Absolutely amazing. To think that each little dot was a home with a family. Breaks my heart.

Mother Earth is our biggest threat.

I think it's the other way around, IMO ... Look at what we've done to Mother Earth, no wonder she's so PISSED off ...

Impressive shots, also sadness ...
