It's important to be fair and show some of the Women's shots too. On this night (finals), Nastia was performing poorly. Her bars were ugly ans she still scored over 16. Her difficulty was 7.7. She fell and they gave her credit for the fallen move. Seems to me at the local level, you fall, no credit, but this is big business. Seemed like a sham though as others performed much better and got lower scores.

2. Shawn Johnson is a machine. She performed flawlessly both nights and seemed to be the only gymast really enjoying the competition.

It was very exciting. A little long. They really dragged this out, a long time. The entire event could have been compressed 1 hour, but they waited until one events scores were finished before they did the next event. IE athlete competes on vault, pause until scored, athlete competes on bars, pause until scored... UGH!!!

For the men's competition, there was NO waiting. They seemed to understand that an athlete could compete and be score simultaneously. And given more apparatus and similar number of athletes, the event was 1 hour less...

I wish I had sprung for better seats. :)
