I'm new to the forum and just got my first Canon 20D (former Nikon user). I appreciate the pricing that others have listed and paid for their 20D's but I ended up paying a whole lot more. Who's the monkey now? :o
Anyway, I'm glad to be here and enjoy this forum! I can't wait till the transition from Nikon is complete and I have learned the new equipment.

Have made the transition from Nikon to Canon, first EOS 3 then D20. Looking back, I have no regrets, apart from selling my first Nikon, a Nikkormat FT3. Amazing how many people have dumped Nikon for Canon actually.
As you're new to the 20D, it's worthwhile visiting www.fredmiranda.com (http://www.fredmiranda.com) as they have very useful Photoshop plugins. I use the Velvia Vision, Digital Infrared and B&W Workflow. The automation of these tasks is wonderful, as I can spend less time in front of the computer and more time being out taking pictures.

Hello Everyone,
I am new to the forum and digital. I have been a wedding and portrait photographer using Hasselblads and have just gotten my first digital, a 20D.
I am looking forward to learning more about it

Forget the 20D, you need a digital back for your hasselblad! :D

This is getting better and better because I am originally thinking of switching from Canon to Nik*n... See Link.

Now, it seems that my directions have changed.

I disagree,
Also having a Hasselblad (an old 500 ELM), I vote for the 1DsMkII (which I also have). I feel the 1DsMKII beats medium format color film and is much easier to use.
I haven't paid much attention lately, but most Hassy-compatable digital backs I have seen are tethered backs and I hate tripping over cables. The exceptions are almost 3 times as expensive as the Canon and go up from there.
Just my opinion,

I was just fooling :D = joke
BTW, the new Phase One digital backs can work 100% untethered.
But you are right, $30,000 for a digital back is a lot .

Actually I do plan on doing that someday. The one I want has to come waaaaaaaaaaaay down in price before that. I figured I would learn digital on something less expensive. I would like a car that costs more than my camera back.

I've been away from the forum and thought I would see what was going on.
I just got my D20, I switched from a Mamyia RB (film) to digital. I'll have to tell you I absolutely love it!
