G'Day All
Seems to me, that to become a fully fledged member of the forums, an obligatory duck picture seems necessary as a sort of initiation. Hope I passed the test :) ;)

This is a Pacific Black Duck (Anas superciliosa) in a city park, so its sort of semi-wild.
Picture was taken with a EOS300D with 75-300mm II(at 300mm) 1/250second f5.6
and ISO 100.

You pass easily. That's a very nice pic.

But that's just the first test. Got any geese?

Lucky you passing that test, I certainly won't pass the duck test coz I canna work out how to upload my photos of ducks.

Oops just worked out the attach rule but cannot work out how to make my images smaller than 100kb, come on you software gurus, please help a lady in distress !!!

Go for it !

G'Day All.
Thanks for the comments.

PhotosGuy - I'll take photos of anything http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif.

Scottes - No geese unfortunately. Theres a wetland reserve a couple of hours away that has some Magpie Geese (and Herons, egrets, spoonbills and black swans) but I haven't had a chance to get there yet with the camera. Hopefully i can get there in March or April http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif.

Until then this is the closest I can get to a goose - not exactly sure what it is, its not a native of these parts....but I've nicknamed him Darth Maul http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif !

Looks like a goose to me...close enough, at least, that you need not submit another one. lol

What about some herons or other pretty birds?
