I am really starting to enjoy these strobes now; however the only available model is now getting very bored.

The post processing is also great fun; however the scope of PS is so great that after a couple of hours I can’t work out what is good or not. I think these have the balance of colours, softness and sharpness about right. The biggest problem with these is that I didn’t get the lights right and there are a few shadows that I would rather have done without. As ever I am open to tips, suggestions and recommendations (as long as you don’t recommend that I bin my kit and give it all up)

When I work with strobes I generally try to position my main light as close to my subject as possible without seeing it in the viewfinder and then placing my fill light directly over the cameras shutter. If you don't already have a good handheld flashmeter think about getting one. Take a reflective reading off the brightest part of your wifes cheek and take a test shot. You should then be able to the look that you want.

I looked at the two images you posted. The first one is great and I would be very pleased. The second is ok, but I think if you had repositioned your lights you would have gotten a much better result.

The first one says "Neil, if you are not done soon, I'll go watch TV" :D

Both are nice.
