I love this spot. I walk here often.
Anyway a bit of background.
West coast of Scotland, in the Firth of Clyde;
Portencross holds significant historical value. In 1315, Robert I, also known as the Bruce, took away the lands (including those on which the property stands) belonging to Godfrey de Ros, who had failed to support him in the fight against the English, and gave them to his loyal follower, Robert Boyd.

This was many centuries ago. How we Anglo/Scots have come together since.
