Does anyone else notice vignetting at the corners on shots taken at wide angle (28mm)? Take a photo of a white wall and you'll see the corners are all darkened.

I've noticed it but it doesn't seem that serious on my S70. I like to think of it as "a feature, not a bug." Just think how long it would take you with wet photography to vignette your image…;-)

Not much of a feature in my opinion. One of the reasons I got the S70 was for the wide angle end of the zoom. I spend more time at wide angle than tele so I was hoping to get better performance at 28mm. Oh well.

Overall, I have not been impressed with the S70. Besides the vignetting, the focusing hunts around a lot and won't even lock in moderate lighting. My old A50 (1.3MP) did a much better job at focusing. And the flash metering isn't that great at 28mm either. Hmmm. Maybe I'm just expecting too much. I'll stick with my trusty Nikon F4 for 'serious' photography.
