Interesting colors...
Which lens did u use? Tripod? Shutter release cable? I think cropping the colors would help... just seems like too much empty space.

i used my 35L:eek:
on a tripod, set it at f/10,manual mode,BULb mode for shutter speed. what i tried to do was time the launch sound and the explosion. clicked of the pic, and after the firework exploded, tried to time where it started to fizzle away, then i released the shutter.
kind of fun,,havnt tried to crop any yet

Good start at fireworks...
I was hoping you were using the 24-70mm f2.8L... cause I also have one...
Apparently a tripod is a must... I get your drift regarding the timing of the shutter... some of it will probably be chalked up to luck...
This weekend isn't over yet... There may be more places to go to for fireworks... have fun... cheers.

So Chad... Interesting pic...
Did you use a tripod? Any tips on camera settings?

I used a tripod, shutter release, ISO 100 F11, Bulb setting. This shot was not planned. All my other shots were just hit or miss.

A bit overexposed, but nice nevertheless.
