The family Christmas party

My sons brother in law asked me to do a pic of his two daughters this Christmas, this is what I came up with. Should it be softer? The only lighting I had was the room light and the 420ex.

It's a beautiful picture...I could only suggest removing the shine on their faces and the slight red eye. I had a little play with it and it does benefit from the diffuse glow filter.
