Some possible solutions here:

Google has quite a few hits under "Lightroom Wordpress" minus the quotes. Not sure if any will help.

Hmm, it all seems not very effective ...
How about if I uploaded it to say 10GB (a web hosting company that give you 10GB free storage) then just have a link going off my site to that? (got this idea from Tobiah .. http://www.nutall.tobiahtayo.com)
Would this work? du think it'd be simple (I'm not bright when it comes to sites, IT and stuff lol!)?

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, but I use Zoundry Raven to compose my posts offline via WYSIWYG interface, dropping my images into the message body. When I upload/publish the entries, the images go to the server with the text. I'm just doing inline embedding though, not actual galleries.

Basically I want to add the galleries so that I didn't have to upload everythiing to flickr then get the links from there and insert them into a post. I shot my friends 18th Brithday party and doing it this way was an absolute nightmare! I was thinking if I could add a gallery (even offsite) people could just write the filenames down and then tell me what prints they want.
I'm downloading Zoundry Raven now :)

If you just want to do some embedded pics, use Zoundry Raven (or one of a million other similar programs). It'll let you drag & drop your pics.
Alternatively, you can generate a gallery in Lightroom and have it upload it automatically to your server then provide a link to that on your blog, with a couple embedded as teasers. Kind of like I did in this post (http://blog.cdifoto.com/2008/06/08/colleen-greg-june-7-2008/).

Well by server I mean wherever your blog is hosted.

Wordpress?

Wherever your wordpress blog is located. If it's with wordpress, you'd upload your images there (I'm assuming they give you storage for images too). I have my wordpress blog hosted elsewhere though. Bluehost is a good spot as well...lots of storage, bandwidth, & cheap.

Ahhh, didn't even know i could host it elsewhere ...

Sorry I forgot to elaborate - you do have to configure Zoundry so it knows where the images are supposed to go. It's under Tools > Media Storage Settings. You don't have to use wordpress hosting for your pics...you can configure any FTP hosting account you want or even Picasa, Image Shack, LiveJournal, or RipWay FTP. If you want to use wordpress' hosting (if they even allow image storage), you'll have to contact them to find out how to set it up in Zoundry.

Okay, so I needed some hosting so I set-up with Ripway ...
i'm trying to fill out the 'Media Storage' but can't figure out what I put under 'FTP Path' ?
I keep getting 'invalid post id' also, but thing has something t do with the above ...?
Any ideas?

Right I've done it! Literally took me all night lol.
I've uploaded it to Ripway and then linked off my site to rthe URL where the gallery is stored.

Do you have flash installed on your laptop? If not, that'd be why.

Hmmm. Try reinstalling flash just to be sure. I know I've had glitches before and a reinstall took care of it, even though it was already there. I have no idea other than that.

FFS! Now I can;t get the images into the posts ... I'm not even doing anyting differently! I just added a page using Zoundry :|
I'm inserting straight from the PC and then clicking publsh and it's not coming up with any errors and creates the page/blog but when I view it there's no image there? Which leads me to beleive that it's with the host/storage settings I've entered?
I'm getting very annoyed now! Any ideas? :)
Sorry to be a pain.
