Well folks, if most of you don't know the Consumer Electronic Show is going on here in Vegas this weekend & there is not much for us photographers. Usally there is a few items to be excited about but not this year. (for me anyway)

Went to the Canon Booth (Small Setup) & the some talk about the new wireless kit that is already back-ordered and cost is about $1000.00. It will work with the 20D & up models
I did play with the 10-22mm lens and thats pretty neat if you need it.
Canon pushing thier new line of printers but still no confirmation on archival quality.

Kodak was not there & I really wanted to see the new D1400 printer.

Never even bothered to go to Epson.

Fuji pushing thier line of photography gear.

Of Course there is alot of new age techno that can help as far as Video, Storage and other misc. So if any PRO photographer thinks they are missing out by not coming to the CES don't worry cause you did'nt. For the Audio, Video & Electronic World its the best show to come to.

For Vegas the NAPP Convention & the WPPI show is coming next, I plan on attending the WPPI not sure on NAPP yet since I have close to a dozen photoshop books & have not gone all the way through them yet. I'll make a post on my findings when the time comes. Just to Clarify there is a lot of great things at the show I was looking mainly for high end PRO photography gear.

Overall its always fun to window shop when its free, plus I had the chance to use my new 24-70mm f/2.8 & that was a blast. Sigma going up for sale :)

Just a little note For those who thought they might be missing something special.

what about nikon???

They're there but I had No need to visit them. I own enough Canon L Glass & bodies to keep me happy for a long time :) Fuji is using Nikon's glass & I do like thier Cameras but no how or way I'm converting over from Canon.

My main purpose of going was to see whats new in printing not looking for the newest in Camera's, I was hoping to see that D1400. I already have the 20D & use the 10D as a backup. The Mark II would be nice if I had the extra $$ to justify it but ESPN has'nt called me yet :)

I think things might be a little different @ the PMA which I think is in Florida this year. Overall I don't see anything major coming out from the top two companies anytime soon, maybe others just trying to keep up.
Once the wireless add on hits the market hard & heavy I think that they'll come up with something to start a new fad. IMO

Just wondering if they've replaced the D100 yet.

I supose i could go to some non-canon (only) forums and find out but...that wouldnt be very fun at all.

TQ, they haven't stop producing D100 yet, maybe end of the 2005 or so, what I have read from bythom.com's prediction for 2005.
