My First E Session

I did my first E session today, even though it wasn't a paid one. :D I'm not sure if i'm ready to start charging ppl just yet. Please c&c. I love to hear from you guys. ENJOY!

#2 is the only one that does not seem to match the style. I think you should have moved in closer on that one, as you could have provided a little more detail on that good moment.

Your other photos and post processing is lovely.

These are great images & I too agree you should start to charge, your work rocks! I also love your post processing, would you care to share how you achieved this rich look, the colours are so saturated. Do you use actions?

great shots!!! really got tons of emotions in them. only nitpick is i wish she work anything but white cuz usually the brightest thing in the picture draws the eyes so im looking at her white blouse instead of her pretty face.
i like the groom w/out the hat cuz tuff to shoot him w/out getting shadows by his eyes.

Ah! Thanks you guys. I'm so happy with everyone comments =D I didn't charge this couple because they're actually related to my gf. And they didn't really have a choice on clothes. LOL we were at my gf's younger sister's baby shower. Thats what they wore and when they saw me with my camera, She asked if i could shoot them.

I think it's a great set for your first attempt, but here's a little critique to help you along your way:

#1 I want to see his mouth, and the vertical centrality of the hands doesn't work for me. A slightly higher angle would have solved both problems.
#2 Not bad but the direct flash kills it a bit for me. Also a little worried about the angle with respect to her "crown jewels" ... those are some VERY short shorts!
#3 Nice.
#4 Slide a little to your left for a more pleasing composition.
#5 Needs a slightly tighter or slightly wider crop IMO.
#6 Nice, but perhaps slightly OOF?

Keep it up ... and DEFINITELY work towards some paying gigs!

2 & 3 are my favorites, but I don't like that she's out of focus in number 4. Personal preference, though, probably. But if I were the bride, I'd be like, "Man, that would be a gorgeous shot if I were in focus."

I think you're definitely ready to start charging. They got really great, usable shots for their wedding. The longer you wait to charge, the more money you're losing (that could be used towards more equipment!)

I think #4 is meant to be a ring shot ... works great for that.
