http://www.computerforum.com/images/icons/icon1.gif Thoughts on my business card design
I really enjoy doing photography for small weddings where the couple could not afford to hire a $1,000+ photographer but still wants professional looking pictures so after doing my third wedding last weekend and doing some maternity pictures this evening I got the idea to do a business card mock-up that I could start passing out to friends and family and hopefully get my name out there a little more.
Heres the design I came up with thus far:

I tried to keep it simple and to the point but wanted some opinions from some of you graphics gurus to see if you thought it was missing anything or maybe has to much?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! http://www.computerforum.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

possible font size increase? im thinking that outlined font is going to be tough to read when actually printed on biz cards. could be wrong though

I like increasing the font sizes, any ideas for something to put on the right? I was thinking the same thing but was afraid it would look to cluttered.

considering the idea of the card is to advertise your biz, i would make my contact info and logo bold and easy to read. Also the border on the bottom is making that red print tough to read on my 17" monitor nevermind a small biz card. Next alot of that detail in the background of the picture will probably be lost and take away from the image, perhaps a larger crop or removed background?

The 'logo' at the bottom right is sort of placekeeper until I create an actual logo for myself, but I understand why its hard to read, the more I look at it I see it gets lost in the grey lines.

Terrible.
- Selective color went out with the 80s.
- Those lines I don't like.
- The font and colors are hard to read, especially the grey/red ones.
- URL is very hard to read.
I suggest you throw it away and hire a designer, or do something like this (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=524778).

the fonts too hard to read and i think the design is abit too detailed, like tim suggested, the plain one works well, and if they are intrested you can always put your URL on the card and let them have a look that way.

lol, guess im back to the drawing boards to do something more 'modern'
The URL is not done yet, so thats why for the time being I want my phone number on the card and email address to get a hold of me quickly.
