Hello everyone, great forum. Now my first ?, I purchased a s5 a few weeks ago and when I power up and the lens extends there is a vibrating noise that I can hear and feel, almost seems the lens is rubbing on the body or something. Is this normal? Anyone else notice this?

no, that doesn't sound normal. I can hear the lens extending for my S5 but there is no feeling of vibration or noise, you might want to return it

agreed it should come out nice and smoothly. Take it back...

If I listen hard and feel for it, there is a very slight whir and vibration when the lens extends on my S5 but that's nothing abnormal.

I suggest you try to test yours against another, if possible, to see if it unusual or not.

Did this start when you first got it and started using it? Or did this just start happening? Maybe, it was dropped, bumped, or rubbed or something of that nature to cause what you are talking about.

Return it. And get another. That really sucks.
