Out in the woods i took some contre jour photo's, with 300D/ lens 18-55/Manual /iso 100 and locked lightning with AE lock.
Personally I like them, but wonder how I could improve the shot .
Did no PS editing, no filters used.
Looking forward to hear your remarks

I like the lighting - especially on the first one. I'm kind of a newbie so can't offer too many suggestions I'm afraid. Good job!

I liked both pictures. However I think the first picture would be improved if the bright stump reflection (or whatever that is) weren't there just because it distracts from the wonderfully mysterious mood created by the rest of the picture. This could be easily removed with Jasc PSP or other software. The second picture is fine also except that, again, there are two things calling the eye's attention in different directions: the sun at the top and the plant in the foreground. Maybe it would be better to crop the top a bit so the sun doesn't distract the eye from the main subject. Just the opinions of a non-expert. :)

u could have gotten low on the first pic so you can see the light shining through the branches (top of the trees) i like the semi/silleouhette (sp?) though

Posted this photo without any PS editing. I agree with you that the stump could be taken away. Personally I'm glad that you notice the mysterious mood I tried to compose, this is what makes me take photos and not the gear.

It does look very mysterious - well done :)

Nice mood and atmosphere and the exposure is well handled.
However they don't seem to have a centre of interest. I would try to move around and make one of the trees more prominent, or find an old tree stump. Anything really for the eye to settle on as the focal point of the composition.
Otherwise very nice - maybe they could be the back ground part of a composition as well as images on their own. If you ever get a shot of a forest creature or something that would look good against the light you could combine the two images on the computer.
