I can't physically do it with my right, unless I force my left down.

That's the beauty of giving your post a meaningful name: You sometimes immediately get the answer, by having a look at the lower left of your screen ;)

Left handed, left eyed.
The other threads are all before my time I'm afraid, so it's doubtful that I've answered them.
edit; snooker right handed, darts left handed, bowl right handed, bat left handed, putt left handed, drive right handed, suck equally with both hands shooting hoops, ambidextrous with a pint glass.;)

I knew I would get an immediate answer, so I had to post this. Guess I was too lazy to actually search.

Never thought about it, but left eye. Right eye seems awkward.

Creepy! Me too! And I throw/write right handed. Ummm, and I was in the Navy too!(ABH3 CVA-67)
My left handed grip came from my left handed brother teaching me golf.....which I play cross handed. I'm just all screwed up!

Right eye. My face has to go in at an awkward angle with my left eye, and then my right thumb gets in the way.

Left handed, left eye.
I used to have the hardest time looking in the viewfinder when I used to tilt my camera clockwise for portrait shots. Now that I tip it counterclockwise (so I can use the grip's */shutter), I have no problem.

Left eye most of the time, right eye once in a while. Always both eyes open.

Left handed and right eyed. I have tried my left eye occasionally over the years, but it doesn't feel comfortable and doesn't seem to work as effectively.
I think it may have something to do with the dominant side of the brain. Right handers are apparently left-side dominant and left handers are the opposite. The left side of the brain controls the right limbs, but I'm not sure how it relates to the eyes - if at all. But I'm no brain surgeon.
The both eyes open thing can work well. It feels much more relaxed and retains some peripheral vision, which is handy for action and sports. It also avoids straining the unused eye (through squinting I guess), which I always find is a problem.

Right handed, bat on with the right, shoot hockey with the right as well.
But I shoot with my left eye in the viewfinder. I think this is because I wear glasses and this is just the most comfortable for me. The right eye is also blocked out so I can concentrate on when I am shooting, unlike when I shoot with my right eye then I find I get distracted with my left eye and have to close it.

I think you're right about this but I'm too busy Googling camera stuff to research the facts......

I shoot mostly sports and will keep my right eye open to see, cars approaching through a turn, pitchers winding up, quarterback scrambling looking for the receiver I'm tracking...or NOT!...etc. to help time my shots.

Right-handed, left eye dominant - which, by the way, helps the golf game a bit, but not enough.
When shooting with the camera, I use the left eye with both eyes open.
When shooting a rifle/shotgun, I shoot left-handed.

Until I came here, it never crossed my mind. I've always used my left eye -- ever since way back when there were no LCDs on my film camera. ;). My vision is better in my right eye, so I guess I just naturally save it for surveying the whole scene. It doesn't feel awkward to me at all. I've never had trouble reaching the controls on my camera because of it.
ETA: I'm right handed.
