Like it! Very Michael Mann :)

I would be interested to see what it looked like with less sky at the top of the frame perhaps? Just a thought

great shot

nw85887,

Here is the same shot from my proch, later in the day...it is not that hazy all the time here in LA. ha ha!! The morning shot haze was actually from humidity in the air from the ocean coast, that usually burns of by about 10:00 AM. I am about 6 miles from the pacific, so the coastal eddy, as they call it here comes pretty far inland.

Sometimes the smog in the air makes for some beautiful sunsets here because of all the toxic particles in the air reflecting in the atmosphere and create amazing colors....pretty ironic, huh!

BTW, if you or anyone else is interested, the red building is the famous Whiskey A-go-go club, where the most famous bands played when they came to LA, including Jimi Hendrix, (my fav), The Doors, Van Halen, and not to toot my own horn, but I played there too!!! It is a very historical LA music landmark. From the back though, my (veiw for the past 20 years is not so sexy). That's Hollywood for ya!

Ob Com,

Thanks for your comments, I have recropped the image, as you suggested and I think you are right on the money. Mucho better.

20 years in the back yard of the Whisky A Go Go ! Wow - I bet you could tell some stories. Every famous band/performer has played there - from Alice Cooper to Zeppelin !

Get any shots?

You have got that right about all the great bands that have played right behind my place.....lots of killer mojo, for sure!!!!! I have been told that Jim Morrison lived in my very apartment! I do not know if that is true though. I do know that Robin Zanders from Cheap Trick used to hang out up here. When I lived in a single downstairs, Phil Lewis from LA Guns came by with Robin to meet me.., he was my buddy......that was so awesome for sure....... I have been here in this apartment since 1987, so I was not really here when the super bands were preforming here.

If my "beer" at the Whiskey were a "camera", I would of had some killer shots...oh well.

Yeah - duh on my part. 20 years ago only goes back to the late 80s. The monsters of classic rock Zep, Who, Hendrix, Doors were well before that...where does time go? Thanks for the reply.
