I just down loaded the Beta for the 20D and found that my images are sharper than with the previous version. It is like it is reading information that was not being read before.

I went back and found shots that I passed by as not good are very acceptable now. I do not have to sharpen them as much. They have a lot more detail in the feathers.

Has anyone else found the same thing?

I did extensive testing with both ACR2.3 and ACR2.4beta. The results are absolutely identical, right down to the pixel level when viewed at 400%.
Those who have reported a difference it is usually because their default conversion settings have changed. Most of the time people just look at previous conversions rather than do a fresh conversion with each ACR.
I did fresh conversions with both ACR2.3 and ACR2.4b, and as mentioned, the results are 100% identical. Conversion times are exactly the same too. I tried many different images taken at different times and different ISO's. Always the same result.

Drisley you might be right but my raw conversion is the same and I have noticed a big difference in how photoshop see some pictures I thought were not keepers. There is not to many ways to view in Raw. I made custom settings and this was with custom settings, so I am not viewing it differently. Now I did not do a side by side but I have opened these picture several times and tried to improve them and now they are sharper then before. That tells me something happened or changed and its not how I am vewing it.

Ah ok, then you must be getting different results than me.
I've converted several images with both ACR's, then opened them in photoshop and layered one on top of the other. Even when viewed at 400%, there is absolutely no difference in either. Not one single pixel is different.
AFAIK, the only difference is official support for the 20D.

Based on your comments I did a side by side test of a gull and I do see a difference in the detail, not allot but enough to make a difference.

Is it possable that everyting is the same but resolution is better.

Hey it could be these old eyes seeing what it wants.
