my husband gave me the A75 for xmas. I am not sure I want to keep it. Not very impressed with my first prints. Should I trade up to the A95? Would I get better prints (more resolution) with more pixels. Anyone have good advice, hubby is not very happy.

The A75 is a thoroughly capable camera, and I really doubt that it's the cause of your problems. As Penguin says, we really need more information. What size prints are you trying to make? What type and size of files are you printing? Which printer are you using? What kind of paper?

A 3.2 megapixel image should be pretty sharp up to at least 5 X 7.

There are tons of variables, any one of which could be the reason for your printing difficulties. A little more information might help people zero in on your problem.

I took all of my first shots on auto. I made 4x6 prints on a drug store kodak machine. I know that was not a great idea but I don't have a photo quality printer yet and I wanted to see some prints to decide if I liked the camera or not. shots of people seem to be the biggest problem. The coloring looks untrue, too peachish or red and they look too soft next to oversharp still objects. What printer and software would be good choices? Thanks

I also have a new A75 and have been quite impressed. I just printed out my first batch of (50) 4x6's yesterday at a Meijer picture station and was very impressed with the quality. Most of the pics appeared to be of average quality on the computer, some were quite fuzzy and I would have never considered printing them out at home, but they came out great at Meijer. I only have one problem with the camera, which I am about to post a question about in a new thread. So far, I say its a keeper.
