Here are some shots I took at my brothers wedding. It was my first wedding with my 5D.
Constructive criticism is very welcome, as I still have a lot to learn!

2. A friend of the groom, some other guests in the background, all walking from the bride & groom's house towards the cars, heading afterward to the city hall for the ceremony.

3.
My other brother, with his 400D, waiting at the city hall for all the guests to arrive.

4. The children from the B&G (both from their previous respective marriage) (spelling correct? ) during the ceremony.

5. The couple during the ceremony.

6. Best friend of the bride during a little (but impressive) speech the daughter (only 12!) of the groom gave:

Hola, Eduard. A few comments (I'm not a wedding photographer, mind you)...
1. A nice shot technically but I think it is too close to be flattering for anyone. I don't think it could be printed very large.
2. I like this one. It is a bit contrasty/hot but it works. It is a slice of time with action and the viewer is drawn in to his interesting expression.
3. Doesn't work for me. The perspective exaggeration isn't flattering and the focus is on the middle of the frame. I do a lot of environmental portraits with wide angles but I usually stick to horizontal for it. Put the subject in one half or on one third on a side of the frame and use the rest of the frame to show the environment or action around them.
4. 5. 6. Again, technically good, but nothing is happening. I think this is too much of people sitting and listening without much emotion.
7. Good shot if people like the signing event. Not to my taste without any faces.
8. More interesting than the others with the expression but it is a bit hot and the crop seems unbalanced.
Overall you are good technically; keep practicing and waiting for a better moment. Also if you have people sitting and not doing much try going a bit wider and then get close to them. Put them in the foreground and let the background in the scene as well so you can see where they are and what they're doing. They will pop out of the foreground and then the photo can have some context.

Thanks for all the tips, I knew that most of the shots were a bit too hot, but after you've pointed it out again, I realize I might have exaggerated it too much in PP...
Let me explain a bit further the photos:
1 & 2 - nothing left to say, I hope they don't agree with you on the first one ;) I know what you mean, but since it's the only shot I got of her putting her lipstick on (she didn't want to pose, so I had to get it right the first time... which I nearly missed as she didn't warn me she was going to put it on...)
3. One page of the album is with 6 photo's processed & shot in the same style as this, so I hope they at least find them "funny" :).
4, 5 & 6 are all looking left, when in the album they are all on the right page, on the left one the minister (correct name?) is on the left page looking right.
7 is part of a page in the album, this shot is more less the background of one page, on top of it are the photo's of the couple signing and on the right page are the photo's of the witnesses (best men / women ?) signing.
8 After reading what you've said I have to agree... will try to not forget for next time! :)
Thanks again for the tips!
PS: The album is a surprise gift for them :)

I'm sure they will love it! I hope you don't think I'm being too critical, but I think it helps more than just saying 'nice shot'.

i think you're REALLY good at capturing people/emotion...good job. I LOVE #1, but #3's angle gives him shrunken head syndrome...remember the movie Beetlejuice? sorry....

I love these shots. This is not the typical wedding, so the pictures are what they are, you walking around as little as possible to get the faces. I think you did great!

Was this a wedding or custody hearing? Just kidding. But seriously, sense no emotion in these except the last one--are these people in love? Are they happy to be marrying? I like your post processing though on the first couple shots.

Agreed ...... you've captured feeling and emotion but all the wrong ones for me. Of course that may just reflect the people involved - only you know that - but it doesn't scream out happy wedding for me !

yeah, true, emotion wise these photo's might not be the best from the day... here are some others that at least look a bit happier.
Sorry for the misplaced watermark / name on some of the photo's, I noticed when I already uploaded them :)
