FedEx takes off

I live in Memphis, Tennessee home of the main FedEx hub. That means that everyday hundreds of their planes take off and land in the Memphis airport.

This was my first time to photograph them and apparently I got a little too close. Airport police stopped me and had to clear me with the local police and the FBI before letting me go. Said I could keep the pics though. Won't get that close again.

Here is the one I took thru the fence right before the siren went off and one in flight.

Nice pics, Bill. I miss Memphis. I used to have a big customer up there and I would drive over to Shelby Drive in the mornings sometimes to watch the take-offs and landings on 18/36 or sit over in a parking lot on Tchulahoma and watch the landing approaches on 27.
