The 80-200 2.8 was discontinued after 1995, so finding one in mint condition will cost you almost as as much as a new 70-200 f/4. I know, I just bought one last week.

I'm wondering if a Kenko Pro 300 teleconverter on this lense
would be a better proposition than selling it and getting the
Canon EF 100-400mm ?
