Evening All,
I was able to sneak away from my busy Fishing schedule this sunday for a bit of motorsport action at the Vintage meet, where there was some fantastic old and unique machinery on show.
Weather was very blowy and changeable, heavy showers and lots of dodgy light.
My Canon gear was out of action so I shot with my other stuff, which I have kept as reserve, please forgive me for I know I have sinned ,greivously, but it's photography I love ,not what I am shooting with.
My results were ok ,but next time will have my trusty 35-350 and ID Mk 2 back.It just handles higher ISO so much better, which at Shelsey you need ,more so at the top of the course where it is tree world, and dark before the finish straight.

First up the mind blowing and wonderful 24 litre Napier Bentley, hugely powerful, and a total handful.

Followed by a car coming into the first bend ,kennel. An Amilcar,a mere 12litre engine ,1930 vintage.

Further up the hill ,bottom S,a good place to photograph, close to the action.

A going away pan at slowish shutter speed.

Another slow pan at 90th,which I rather liked .

A very pretty 3 wheeler.

Atop S shot in dodgy light, but car was trying hard.

Finally, the epitomy of the venue,a lovely old car ,in fabulous countryside.

I hope you enjoy them as did watching this priceless piece of history.

I really like the first one. I like the head on angle and the clouds of smoke out the back. Great to see these old machines still being hammered.

Looks like there was some great old machinery there Pons. No 3 for me, it gives a great feeling of speed also quite the dof on the BMW one. That is some wheel-spin off the start in No 1 !!
Hoping to get to Shelsley in Aug for the 'top 12 run off' boys.

Cheers chaps.
Interesting you like differant ones,so I shall take that as a complement.
Have shot all the standard stuff there ,times,so really enjoyed slowing up the shutter speed
looking for differant aspects.
Like we all do ,shot loads of piccies, but only really want a few belters if possible.
Looking forward to the return of the big bangers soon, now they really are super quick, even the 1100s !
Cheers,
Pons
