I'm looking to get a subscription to a photography magainze (usa). Anyone have preferences to a certain one for useful information, ratio of content to ads. I like reviews of new cameras, lenses, software, accessories.

Thanks for any input.

shutterbug is pretty good. Their reviews aren't as good as Practical Photography (UK), but much bettr than pop photog. I always learn a thing or two from shutterbug--either technique-wise or equipment-wise.

I subscribe to outdoor photography and love it. Of course, the outdoors is my favorite place to take photos so it just makes sense.

Shutterbug is what I get. It has a lot of ads but they may end up saving me $110.

I like the Outdoor photographer - it features very nice technique and inspiration articles and includes some pretty awesome photographs. However the equipment reviews in it are pretty useless - most of the reviews are available online from much better sources or with much better coverage.

I also subscribed to the Digital Photo Pro magazine - but haven't received it yet.

If you want the absolute best of the magazines that covers what you use and would be happy with ony 4 issues a year then - http://www.eos-magazine.com is the one to get.

If you want to see what working pros are doing and read articles about the business of phography, I suggest PDN (Photo District News).
