My fingers got really cold today. Any recommendations for gloves that are warm but not bulky?
Kevin.

I've been on the lookout, too. I got a pair from EMS - Eastern Mountain Sports. EMS WindPro Power Stretch Gloves (http://www.ems.com/products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444224 6885&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302854032&fromTemplate=navigation%2Fsubcategory.jsp&bmUID=1105324100437). They're good for about an hour at -10C before you'll need to warm up. But they'll last all day if you stick them in your pockets or use those little heat bags. They're still thin enough to operate the camera and have little nubs to help with grip. I can recommend these easily but it depends on the temps and your ability to handle the cold.

For colder temps, or if you do a lot of waiting but don't use the camera often, try these: EMS Wind ProŽ Conversion Mitt (http://www.ems.com/products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444204 7437&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302854032&fromTemplate=navigation%2Fsubcategory.jsp&bmUID=1105324100463). I have to say that I didn't like them much, nor the REI brand of the same basic design. They're a pain to get on and off and just didn't fit my hands very well. (But I've got wide hands with short fingers.) Those suckers will get you down to extended periods of very cold weather as long as you don't have to operate the camera for long periods of time.

Thanks Scottes, I'll check these out.
