This is the one remaining province that I had never been to. I made the trip this weekend and even though it was winter I had a great time. It looks to be a photographers heaven with lots of subject matter. Here are a few samples.

A place called Signal Hill which I believe is the most easterly point in Canada

These ice formations were hanging everywhere. They looked much more dramatic in real life.

These multi-colored houses in the hill side were pretty neat

And of course there has to be a light house (albeit a tad small)

Beautifull shots of a beautifull part of the world :)

.. I love the colors of houses in Newfoundland.. it's as if knowuing that there tiny homes are insignificant in the face of the forces of nature in Newfoundland, they tried to compensate a little with a touch of color.

A fantastic place indeed :)

Beautiful shots. We skipped Newfoundland when visiting the Maritimes, due to time constraints, but definitely plan to make it there next visit. However, there's no chance it will be in winter.

I didn't know you did landscapes. These shots turned out great. My favorite is the one with the bright colored houses.

Some of your photos aren't displayed. Could be a pbase problem.

Great shots. I was born and raised in St John's and I am impressed how you are able to capture images in a manner which escaped me. A lesson learned by myself, a veteran photographer.

With the hills covered in white, the colour of the houses are much more dramatic.
